Apprenticeships

Our engineering apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity to gain an academic qualification whilst doing a real job and getting paid.

As an apprentice, you will work in a thriving, fast paced environment on a huge variety of equipment. Peel Ports is at the forefront of our industry, an industry that is constantly evolving.

Your apprenticeship journey

Each year of your engineering apprenticeship is structured around the technical skills and theoretical knowledge you need to ensure you have the right skills for your career. You will be working towards Higher Certificate qualifications and there will be a mix of academic work as well as hands-on practical experience.

As you progress through your apprenticeship you will work closely with existing engineering and planning teams, including other apprentices and carry out similar duties under supervision, so that we can ensure you are competent and confident in your role.

Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you may be given the opportunity to study for further qualifications such as HNC, Foundation Degree, BEng, MEng and CEng.
