What does your role entail, and how does this add value to the business? As Sales Manager, I will continue to grow volume over the quay and build our customer portfolio. I am focused on bringing new and growing existing business into our ports across Liverpool, Heysham and the Manchester Ship Canal. I use my experience and knowledge to identify strategies and action plans to improve short and long term sales revenue and offer solutions covering stevedoring, handling, marine fees and storage; along with introducing customers to our Peel Ports Logistics team, who provides a one-stop-shop service including: freight forwarding, chartering, agency, customs clearance and transport.
What do you enjoy most about your role? How does this benefit your customers etc?
New business; to learn and understand my customers business. I am eager to understand the customer needs and provide the right solution, with this we can grow together. I believe the best way to grow any business is to build relationships within my customer base and understand the 3/5 year business plan to identify opportunities.
